Our 36.5 Initiative brought about such life transformation for those who participated. Some were delivered from pornography, others from spirits of fear, legalism, and pride. A few were Baptized in the Holy Spirit and even more have become open to seek the Lord as to what that truly means. The Surge acquired a new Outreach Director and a talented Photo Editor and was also honored during the fast to perform at a Give Fifty One SHIP Event for local children in Charlotte. Peta-Gaye, CEO of The Surge, and her family were able to see God begin a healing work in her two month old granddaughter, Sydney, from an unknown sickness that had placed the baby in the hospital several times in the past couple months.

A phenomena of romantic relationships developed between three couples participating in the 36.5 Fast who have all decided to cultivate their relationships God’s way-through Courting NOT Dating (Check out our Blog ‘Dating…Courting…What’s the Difference?’). The concept of Courting was explained to more couples than can be numbered, altering mindsets on what a healthy Christ-like relationship should look like. And finally, we all came together to celebrate not only Peta-Gaye’s 55th Birthday, but the end of the fast with Communion and tons of food! It was an Amazing night of glorifying God for listening to our concerns and cries for help during the 36.5 Initiative. It was a testimony of one miracle after the other that night and a direct hit to the kingdom of darkness as we laughed and reminisced about all the beautiful things God has done.
