And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.

John 8:32

Truth involves freedom, authenticity, openness, and honesty.  It is not based off of feelings and emotions; it is based off of The Word of God.  The Word states plainly that Jesus IS the Truth in John 14:6.  No one else can tell us what Truth is because Christ is the Truth and His WORD is where Truth comes from.  The Truth is also The LIGHT (1 John 8:12)…“If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we LIE and do not practice the TRUTH” (1 John 1:6).  It is IMPOSSIBLE to walk hand in hand with the devil-believing and living out His lies over us, while standing in the Light of God.  God takes no part in darkness, in deceit, in insincerity, and in lies; He loathes darkness and is an enemy to it.

John 1:15 says “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH.”  Jesus became a man, thereby making THE LIGHT, THE WORD, AND THE TRUTH a physical tangible human being.  And by doing this, our God illustrated what His WORD, His LIGHT, and His TRUTH look like in the real world.  He became a perfect model FULL OF GRACE for the benefit of extremely imperfect followers.  Jesus showed us, during His time on earth, that Truth is NOT easy to walk out, but it always wins in the end.  1 Corinthians 13:6 tells us TRUTH Is supported by and founded on LOVE…”It [Love] does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and TRUTH prevail.”

God is Love (1 John 4:8). He does not have love or show love…He is LOVE!  And Love upholds Truth!  Many times as flawed people we utilize our knowledge of Truth without connecting it to its foundation of Love.  But if we read that Christ is Truth and God is Love, we must then realize that there can be no real TRUTH without real LOVE.  We cannot separate Love and Truth because when we speak Truth, we are showing Love and when we Love, we are announcing the presence of Truth.  When it is all said and done, Truth is all we need to live our lives whole-heartedly for God.  Why?  Because when we BELIEVE TRUTH we automatically place our faith in LOVE.  And Who is Love?…Christ the Anointed One, ALL we will ever need.
